Brief description

Colour photographs (2) featuring the Parramatta Ice Works building in the early-1970s prior to demolition for the construction of the Barry Wilde Bridge. The Ice Works had closed in the early-1960s, and the building had been let out to various businesses. At this time signs of the building indicate the leases were JRJ Plumbing Pty Ltd; Parramatta Carseal (automotive underseal steam cleaning specialists). The original ‘ghost sign’ of the old Ice Works is visible on the side of the building.
