Brief description
Mounted on a navy blue ribbon, the chain comprises 22 shield shaped links (20 engraved with names of former Lord Mayors and 2 blank), a central oval shaped cast pendant (with the letter 'P' in Gothic script), and 2 smaller subsidiary links. From the chain hangs the central medallion stamped with the City of Parramatta crest, which is surrounded by the words 'Lord Mayor' above and 'Incorporated 1861' below. A purpose made navy blue leather case with the City of Parramatta crest stamped on it houses the chain.
