Brief description
Mounted on a maroon grosgrain ribbon, the chain comprises fifteen shield shaped links engraved with the names of former mayors, a central oval shaped pendant with the letter P, and two mathcing maroon grosgrain ribbons. From the chain hangs the central medallian with the City of Parramatta crest in the centre with the words 'Mayor' and 'Incorporated 1861' above and below respectively.
A second duplicate set of the chains has ten of the engraved links attached, four unattached and one missing.
