Brief description
This Series comprises Foreshores Management Plans. Under the Local Government Act, 1993, all foreshore lands are required to have a plan of management. The Council's Corporate Plan established a need for a Community Services Plan which comprised four elements: Social Plan, Recreation Plan, Library Strategic Plan and Heritage Development Strategy. The Recreation Plan consists of four elements again: Bushland and Watercourse Reserves; Foreshore Parks; Sportsgrounds and General Parks and Land for General Community Use. The Management Plans focus on the heritage, recreational and environmental aspects for providing strategies for management of the foreshore. It looks at issues and objectives and how these can best be achieved. These records are original and have not been digitised.
