Brief description
Tapestry Coat of Arms - crown helmet, the Parramatta emblem as shield, fern leaves and grasses as the wreath, Australian emu and kangaroo as supporters. Below this, a sailing ship with 4 sets of sails with 3 flags on either side.Below this, English roses, Scottish thistles and Irish shamrocks.The embroidery is the work of an English Seaman presented to the Grandfather of the donor, Mr C A Parsons, for saving his life en route to Australia.
